Cody illuminates their stories by recreating a poignant moment during their life or by envisioning an image that he believes captures their narrative in an instant. Leaving clues throughout and around the picture to help allude to their identity, he uses props and builds sets wherever possible, then digital manipulation and compositing to create the final image. Every part has been carefully directed and created to enhance the story behind the image, so that the artist’s interpretation of the essence of these significant human beings prevails.
